3 Steps to the Magic Formula for Great Sales Performance
What is the magic formula?
From my personal experience, the magic formula is three alphabets. A.S.K
A - Activity
S - Skills
K – Knowledge
It only works in a multiplication table formula. Let me explain.
A x S x K = Outcome of your Sales Performance
If you have any zero in the above formula, your outcome will be zero no matter how hard you work. Got it?
Here we go.
New Sales Consultants
Activity level is high (provided you are hardworking).
Let’s give a score from 0% to 100%. Example 80.
Skills level is low as you are new. Example 15.
Knowledge is low to medium depending on how much you can absorbed. Example 40.
ASK formula application below.
80 x 15 x 40 = 48,000 Outcome
Veteran Sales Consultants
Activity level is low (cos you are comfortable at your current life stage).
Let’s give a score from 0% to 100%. Example 30.
Skills level is medium to high as you are more seasoned. Example 70.
Knowledge is medium to high (assuming you are proficient in your work). Example 70.
ASK formula application below.
30 x 70 x 70 = 147,000 Outcome
See the Outcome above. Let me ask you a question.
Do you think a newbie can win a veteran consultant?
The answer is YES… Absolutely. Let’s rethink the formula.
The newbie is hardworking and willing to put in the extra efforts.
New Sales Consultants (NEW FORMULA)
Activity level is high (provided you are working much harder).
Let’s give a score from 0% to 100%. Example 90.
Skills level is low as you are new (but you put in extra efforts to be coached by your mentor) Example 30.
Knowledge is medium (Extra efforts to learn everyday). Example 70.
ASK formula application below.
90 x 30 x 70 = 189,000 Outcome. YES, you did it. Champion…
Get the idea? I hope you did cos my new consultant did it last year and she blasted through her way to 250% growth in her income & personal growth in 2019.
Meanwhile, stay safe.
